In 30 June 2014 in the Ivan Mažuranić hall in the Croatian parliament a seminar entitled „Nomotechnics and the reception of legislation into the national legal system -French Example“ intended for the management of public service officials and areas of administrative law specialists directly dealing with law and regulations and participate in adopting European regulations into the Croatian system was held. Two Main topics were dealt with: the French approach and practice in creating and formulating legal regulations and European regulations and national legislation.
Thirty people participated from ministries and state administration office as well as guests: president of Croatian Parliament Judiciary Committee, French Republic Ambassador, Constitutional Court judges, president of the Supreme Administrative Court, chief of Republic of Croatia Legislative Office and administrative law educators from Faculties of Law in Zagreb, Rijeka and Split.
Presenters were eminent French specialists, professor emeritus University of Paris 2 Marc Gjidara and state counsellor in the French State Council Mrs. Christine Maugue.
Shorter lectures were also held by Dr. Neven Šimac, Ph.D. and Assistant Prof. Bosiljka Britvić Vetma, Ph.D. The seminar was moderated by deputy minister of administration Dr. Zoran Pičuljan, Ph.D.
It was organised by the Ministry of Administration and Faculty of Law University of Split in cooperation with the State Council of the Republic of France, the French Embassy in the Republic of Croatia and the „ Robert Schuman“ Centre for European documentation and research in Split.
The aim of this seminar was to offer an introductory framework into the afore mentioned areas. In future seminars, certain issues of this problem area of importance to Croatian administration will be expanded on.
